Jack Nelson is a 22-year resident of Menlo Park, who is semi-retired from his profession after 25 years in the logistics safety operations industry in the Mid-West as well as California. Jack graduated from the CERT program in 2003 and has been active in the CERT Team Steering Committee and the CERT/FEMA Train-the-Trainer program. He volunteers with the Cal-Fire Communication and Volunteer in Prevention Program.

He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management/Finance with an AA Degree in Fire Science.  He has taken additional and on-going educational courses with FEMA, Department of Homeland Security and the National Fire Academy.

Jack was elected to the Board in December 2009 and serves on the Human Resources Committee and is Board Liaison to the City of Menlo Park, as well as a Member of the Menlo Park Disaster Preparedness Committee.
