It is the goal of the Menlo Park Fire District to foster a cooperative attitude and create a team approach to improving the survivability of our community in the event of a major wildfire or house to house ignition sequence.  A joint effort between home owners, elected officials, insurance companies and emergency responders has proven to be the best approach to accomplish this goal.

Our Objectives:

• Ensure that our wildfire public education effort reaches all areas of concern in the District in order to preserve life, property and the environment.

• Ensure that homeowners are equipped with the knowledge and information to successfully prepare for and react in the event of a major fire.

• Provide a point of contact within the Fire District for citizens and other agencies to utilize in pursuit of this goal.

• Promote community participation and encourage homeowners to assume an active role in their own safety and that of their neighbors.
