Division Chief Jim Stevens


Division Chief James Stevens began his career with the Menlo Park Fire Protection District in 1982. He progressed through the ranks of Engineer, Truck Operator, Paramedic, Captain, Platoon Training Officer, Battalion Chief and Division Chief. He was promoted to Division Chief on June 24, 2015. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration.

Chief Stevens has served the District in many capacities; disaster planning, Rescue Systems I and II Instructor, Trench Rescue Instructor, CPR Instructor, Urban Search and Rescue Medical Unit Leader, as well as member and chair of several planning teams. His emergency response experiences include numerous multi-alarm fires, vehicle accidents, medical incidents, and deployments to; Hurricane Iniki, the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, Hurricane Ike, and Hurricane Harvey.
