April 26, 1997, twenty years ago, in the City of East Palo, at 6.09 am Firefighters with the
Menlo Park Fire Protection District responded to one of the deadliest residential structure
fires in the United States. To this day, it remains San Mateo Counties single largest
unsolved multiple homicide. Firefighters rescued 11 people from throughout the small single story residential structure
